The school campus is my home, it´s the place where I was born which is why I enjoy assiting you in this colonial house in downtown Oaxaca. I am the accommodation coordinator. Because I am a traditional oaxacan cook, I´m the resident cooking teacher. I like talking with our students over breakfast about different topics. I´m very social and love talking, joking and dancing. It´s been a pleasure to work with SIS for many years. I´m sure you will love our community!

I´m fan of the culinary art, all kinds of music and particularly languages. Gadi Hernández

I was born in Oaxaca city, but have lived in different cities in Mexico and two in the US. I love hiking, walking, traveling, reading, watching movies and listening to music. While becoming a spanish teacher I was also an english teacher. Since then and up to now I have volunteered in several NGO´s who work with mexican ethnic groups, translating, teaching, guiding, connecting, and more. I love indigenous textiles, cold weather, cats and coffee.

Octavio Manzano

I taught for 5 years in a university before I realized that a traditional classroom setting is not ideal for learning a language. At SIS, we provide one-on-one classes tailored to each student's needs. I have 2 diplomas: one focused on complex grammar and the other on the most common problems in the teaching process. I´m passionate about studying how different people learn languages and how they respond to different teaching methods.
