The train museum was opened in 1892 as Ferrocarril Mexicano del Sur during the presidency of Porfirio Díaz. It was redesigned in 1950, but it finally stopped working as a train station and became a museum in 2003. It displays objects as well as sepia and black & white photographs showing the train station´s history.
Besides the Train Museum, you will also visit La Calera Sustainable Actions Factory, a former Limestone Factory turned into an Airb&b which now houses in one part of the property a work area of hand blown glass objects. |
